Christmas Cookies

Sugar Cookies

  1. 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  2. 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  3. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  4. 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  5. 1 egg
  6. 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  7. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  8. 1 teaspoon cream of tartar

Frosting

  1. 2 cups powdered sugar
  2. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  3. 2 tablespoons milk/half-and-half

Directions

  1. mix powdered sugar, the butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, almond extract, and egg until well blended. Stir in flour, baking soda and cream of tartar.
  2. cover and refrigerate for 3 hours
  3. Heat oven to 375 degrees and bake for 7 to 8 minutes. Cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  4. beat all frosting ingredients until smooth and spreadable. 

Pumpkin Waffles with Apple Cider Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs separated
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Apple Cider Syrup

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions:

  1. Preheat waffle iron
  2. combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice, ginger, salt, and brown sugar in a mixing bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl stir the pumpkin, milk and egg yolks.
  4. whip the egg whites in a clean dry bowl until soft peaks form

What is the difference between Vegetarian and Vegan? Vegetarian is a person who does not eat meat and sometimes other animal products. Vegan is a person who does not eat or use animal products. Cookies and Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 Keebler ready Crust Chocolate Pie Crust (6oz.)
  • 1 1/2 cups cold half-and-half
  • 1 to 3 1/2 oz. package vanilla instant pudding
  • 4 oz. frozen whipped topping (thawed)
  • 1 cup Keebler E.L. Fudge Sandwich Cookies (crushed)

Directions

  • Pour half-and-half into large bowl
  • Add pudding, beat with wire whisk until well blended for 1 minute
  • Let stand for 5 minutes
  • Fold in whipped topping and crush cookies
  • Spoon into crust
  • Freeze until firm, approx. 6 hrs.
  • Garnish as desired
